I contend...

...that, no matter how careful you are, it is virtually impossible to stain and varnish a threshold without getting dog and/or cat hair in the mix.

    good point, my mum is moving in a month to a house which will require some re-decorating and she has a black lab who like to share her hair....should be fun !
