...you pay a surprise visit to your relatives and the first words out of their mouths isn't "Hey! Jean's here!" but instead "RAY! HI RAY! OH BOY, IT'S RAY!"
Only somewhat unexpected when it's your favorite sister-in-law and niece. But when it's your own mother.....
That was because Ray had to know whose door he had entered. I love the way Ray 'looks at you' when you talk to him. He tilts his head to one side, cocks his ears in listening mode, then tilts his head to the other side still listening intently. Just makes me wish you kids when little had given me such attention. Perhaps the fact that none of you ever got doggy treats had something to do with it. Love MOM
If I remember correctly, you did give us home-made dog biscuits when we were kids. You said they were full of healthy ingredients and were good for us. ARF!
I'd forgotten about that. The recipe was right out of the Chicago Tribune. It was yummy and the neighbor's dog liked them so I made a batch for us and for my boss who was inclined to snack. She wanted the recipe but didn't get it from me for some strange reason. You can suck on those little goodies for half an hour before they are soft enough to bite. Have not had any requests for them in the last 20 years. Love MOM
My name is Ray the Blind Dog. I'm a Redtick Coonhound that was born blind in July 2008. I'm named after my blind counterpart Ray Charles. I joined a family of 2 cats and 2 humans in June of 2009. I want to show everyone how well I get along in this world and let my friends know how I'm doing. Please feel free to add remarks or share your experiences in the comment box. We all want to know what you think.
eclipsed by your pooch, know thy place !
